The safety, health and well being of our employees are of primary
importance to Pioneer Contracting, Inc. Therefore, safety will
always receive the same precedence as quality and production since
deficiencies in any of these areas can result in employee injury,
customer dissatisfaction or financial loss.
To that end, we have established a safety program conforming to the
best practices of our industry. The objective of the
program is to keep the number of injuries and illnesses to an
absolute minimum, not merely in keeping with, but surpassing the
best experience of operations similar to ours.
Our safety program
includes but is not limited to:
- Providing mechanical and physical
safeguards to prevent employees from coming in contact with the
moving parts of machinery or equipment.
- Conducting a program of safety inspections
to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions or practices.
- Providing personal protective equipment
according to hazards associated with each operation. The
equipment will meet all regulations and damaged or broken
equipment will be replaced as necessary.
- Providing a clean, orderly and safe
working environment.
- Conducting training in good safety
practices for all employees based on job duties. Below is a list
of some specific training topics that have been identified as
being critical to our line of work and are therefore, given
annually:
