Waterproofing Systems

Since concrete, by itself, is not watertight, a membrane in the form of liquid or sheets has to be used to protect the building envelope, preventing the passage of water. The effectiveness of a membrane system requires the application applied under stringent controls and processes requiring experts for the application.

New membrane materials seek to overcome shortcomings in older methods. New technology in waterproof membranes relies on polymer based materials that are extremely adhesive to create a seamless barrier around the outside of a structure.

Waterproofing is used above and below grade, for traffic areas and for walls and ceilings. And, in addition to waterproofing, many of the projects require water repellant materials and applications. Pioneer Contracting is certified by all leading manufacturers and with all major materials.
